On November 6, 2020, the 22nd meeting of the Working Group on Nondestructive Testing of the Scientific and Technical Commission for Metrology (RG NK NTKMetr) of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification was held in the format of a videoconference. The meeting was attended by specialists from national authorities for the states parties to the Agreement of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Interstate Technical Committee (ITC) 515 "Nondestructive Testing", as well as the Bureau for Standards. The participants of the meeting, with the aim of organizing the work of the RG NK NTKMetr, developing and improving work in the field of non-destructive testing, considered and discussed a number of important issues. Members of the RG NK NTKmetr, who took part in the meeting, elected the Head of the NDT Working Group of the Scientific and Technical Commission on Metrology Konstantin Vladimirovich CHEKIRDA, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of FGUP "VNIIM im. DI. MENDELEEV"of the Russian Federation. The progress in the implementation of the Program of Work on Metrology and Conformity Assessment in the field of non-destructive testing was considered in detail. After reviewing the implementation of the Program of work on metrology and conformity assessment in the field of non-destructive testing, the meeting participants developed a recommendation on the need to accelerate the implementation of the Program and its updating, taking into account the development of modern international documents. The issues of interaction between the Working Group on Nondestructive Testing of the Scientific and Technical Commission for Metrology and MTK 515 "Nondestructive Testing" in the field of nondestructive testing were discussed. The information on the progress of comparisons in the field of measuring the propagation velocity of longitudinal ultrasonic waves in solid media within the framework of COOMET was also considered (706 / RU / 16). Based on the results of consideration and discussion, the meeting participants adopted agreed recommendations.
